Air Commerce Park
The Clearfield-Jefferson Counties Regional Airport Authority, which owns
and operates the DuBois Regional Airport, is in the process of developing
an Air Commerce Park for the development of 53 acres adjacent to the Airport
along Route 830 in Washington Township.
The property approved is on the north side of Route 830 and is one of 12 sites
in the North Central region recently dubbed by the State as a Keystone Opportunity
Zone. The property has been designated as tax-free for business and industry
for the next 12 years by the Ridge Administration.
The site also ties in with the the long-awaited
"ultimate access" road from interstate 80. Construction of
the Interstate 80 interchange began the summer of 2004. The access road was opened for traffic on July 13, 2007, and provides direct access to the Airport from I-80 via Exit 90.
Presently, the airport offers commercial air service, water and sewage treatment
facilities, and a generator capable of supplying electric to the entire airport
complex in times of emergency.
Anyone interested in further details is asked to contact Robert W. Shaffer,
Airport Manager, at 814-328-5311.
